Data deletion instructions

You can disconnect your Instagram connection, delete your Gorilyft account, or contact us about deleting specific personal data. These actions concern data held by Gorilyft; they do not delete your Instagram account or posts on Instagram.

1. Disconnect Instagram

  1. Sign in to Gorilyft and open your creator card.
  2. In the Instagram section, select Disconnect (“Déconnecter” in French), then confirm.

Disconnecting removes the stored Instagram access token, imported reels and their stored metrics, and Instagram connection and verification fields from your Gorilyft creator profile, including its verification badge. It also clears your selected showcase reels.

This keeps your Gorilyft account. Profile information such as your Instagram handle and follower count can remain. To request deletion of that information or other personal data, contact us or use the account deletion option below.

2. Delete your Gorilyft account

  1. Open your creator card or, for a brand account, your brand profile.
  2. At the bottom of the page, select Delete my account (“Supprimer mon compte”). Read any displayed conditions.
  3. Type DELETE (or SUPPRIMER in French) and select Delete my account permanently (“Supprimer définitivement mon compte”).

This permanently deletes your Gorilyft sign-in account and its associated profile. For creators, this also removes the stored Instagram access token and imported reels linked to that profile. You are then signed out. Account deletion cannot be undone.

3. If account deletion is blocked

The account page shows whether an ongoing booking, funds held for a booking, a payout being processed, or locked earnings prevent account deletion. These items must be resolved before the in-app deletion can proceed. If an available balance remains, the page requires an explicit acknowledgement that this balance will be forfeited before deletion.

4. Request deletion or get help without signing in

If you cannot access your account, or want to request deletion of specific data instead of deleting the account, email contact@gorilyft.com. Include the email address associated with your Gorilyft account, your Instagram username if relevant, and the data you want removed. Do not send passwords or access tokens.
